Nauvoo Fireside

I will be playing a fireside (which are called Sunday Sociables) at the Nauvoo Visitor's Center in Nauvoo, Illinois on October 26, 2008. More information will be posted here. I am very excited for this opportunity.

Sheet Music released, new look web page.

My sheet music has been released, and can now be purchased from my online store. My web page has also gone through a face lift, trying to make information more easily accessible.

A lot has happened since I last posted. I had a good meeting with an Executive from a distribution company that gave me a lot of good ideas and encouragement. One idea was to release my sheet music. So that will be coming out soon. Stay tuned!

New Player

I have updated the audio section of my web page with a new player that will play all of my hymn arrangements in a single playlist. It can be found at http://www.brandonbascom.com/flamplayer.html. It plays all my hymn arrangements without having to open them individually. You can also shuffle and loop and change the color of the player. Hope you enjoy it. Soon I will also add a classical playlist as well.

DMA Program

I have decided to go to the University of Iowa for my Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. I will be studying with Uriel Tsachor for lessons, and pedagogy with Alan Huckleberry. I am very excited to be going there. The program should take between two and three years.

Neglect

Well I have neglected this forever! The date for my Master degree recital is March 18th at 8:00 p.m. and will be held in the Britton Recital Hall in the Moore School of Music Building.

I have begun the audition tour. I am auditioning at 7 schools, and have been to 4 so far. I will be done by the end of the month. I am now playing the waiting game. Although I have heard that I have been accepted at a couple of schools, I have to wait to hear about the assistantships.

A recording session is in the works, with plans to record another hymn arrangement on songs about Prophets.
